Secondly, I just saw Ricki Lake's award-winning documentary (out in US theatres soonish?), The Business of Being Born. It's excellent and I highly recommend watching it! I'm hoping to organize a childbirth film festival here in Bangalore in December or January where we'll feature this film. Stay tuned for more details!

As a DONA-trained doula and Lamaze-certified childbirth educator, I offer the following services:
Birth doula: package includes 2-3 prenatal visits; continuous emotional, physical and informational support during your labor and birth; help with establishing breastfeeding; and 2 postpartum visits.
Postpartum doula: packages come in 4 hour increments; overnights from 10pm till 7 am.
Childbirth classes (private): can choose between a 12 hour course (over six weeks), a 3-4 hour brush-up/intensive, or an 8 hour weekend intensive.
